Ben's Rocking Horses is now a store located in Old Sacramento, California. The address is 900C Second Street. Look for the sign. Ben carries a large selection of Breyer horses, in addition to all the hand-carved horses. The store phone number is (916)448-4449. The store is open Tuesdays through Sundays. It is closed on Mondays. Store hours are from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

There are three sizes of carved horses suitable for riding. The smallest is for children, ages two to six. The medium size horse is like this one pictured. This Victorian rocking horse is suitable for children up to the age of 12, and will support the average 150 pound adult. Ben is able to match the coloring, and markings of your horse. The largest size horse is suitable for glider only, and is large enough for adults to ride. All the horses are available in choice of color and markings, and choice of tack.

Ben restores and refurbishes antique rocking horses, replacing manes, tails, and tack. New gesso and painting are applied, if required. During pleasant days at the store, Ben carves on the horses he is preparing for sale. He is there to answer questions about the carving, and to give visitors a first-hand glimpse of the time and talent needed to turn blocks of wood into a finished work of art.
