Ben is a certified full member of the Rocking Horse Makers Guild. His work is also complemented by his many years as a horse owner and 25 years as a Master Farrier specializing on Thoroughbred race tracks. Ben also taught horse anatomy and mule packing at the Community College level. These experiences enhance his ability to bring life to his wooden horses.

All horses take 4-5 weeks to finish. The horses are carved of basswood, mounted on oak, walnut or cherry rockers or gliders. The horses have eight coats of hot gesso, and are airbrushed in acrylics or handpainted in oil. The horses are priced according to size, and on options selected. This does not include packing and shipping. Free delivery within one hundred miles.

This small black horse is the smallest size of hand-carved horses, and is mounted on a glider. The glider takes up less room, and is safer for smaller children. This size horse is ideal for children ages two to six.
